PACE

PACE (Partnerships, Access and Community Engagement) was established to provide coherence across Bournemouth University’s diverse range of activities for improving access, increasing retention and widening participation in Higher Education (HE).

Working in partnership with Academic Schools and Services and with institutions and organisations across the South West region, PACE drives forward Bournemouth University’s Widening Access and Participation Strategy and Action Plan (PDF 147 kb).  The Plan focuses on building capacity and capability which complements the Aimhigher programme and builds successful progression into and through HE within the Dorset, South Somerset and South Wiltshire area.

  • FE in HE at Partner Colleges
  • Community outreach and a Community Learning Programme

PACE is supported by a research team which works closely with University colleagues and partner organisations to monitor, evaluate and publish our work internally and externally.
